Supervise the use of chemical cleaning products to thouroughly sanitize and dissenfect processing room floors, walls, cutting boards, and other surfaces.  All sanitation employees are responsible for adhering to GMP’s and ensuring that surfaces are sanitized to industry standards. May be resonsible for training new hires, and all employees are responsible for quality and food safety. Essential Duties and Responsibities: Position requires performing any combination of the following job tasks: Train new hires Safe use of industrial grade cleaners Work closely with the QA and Food Safety Officer on maintaining HACCP standards Use of cleaning equipment, mops, brooms, sponges, scrubbers, etc. Peripheral Duties:  Gives support to the Food Safety Officer Communicate with upper management as needed Report unsafe working conditions and accidents Intermediate verbal communication skills. Must be able to function at a high level of efficiency with a diverse work force and communicate clearly with various levels of management Requirements: Must be able to lift up 40lbs. Ability to work in a refrigerated environment, 36-degrees Able to work with industrial chemicals and cleaning products Use of rubber and latex gloves Must be able to take direction in English Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test Desired Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to read write and speak English fluently At least 1 year of previous Janitorial or Sanitation experience. Ability to observe and follow proper safety procedures, and a willingness to report potentially unsafe conditions. Able to lift up to 70lbs, 35-50 on average Ability to work in a refrigerated environment up to 85% of the time Ability to wear latex and rubber gloves as needed Ability to read, write and speak English fluently This employer participates in E-Verify and will provide the Social Security Administration and if necessary the Department of Homeland Security with information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.
