TUSCALOOSA, AL. — The Tuscaloosa Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying two potential suspects in a Sunday hit-and-run incident on Skyland Boulevard. TPD says shortly before 3 p.m. Sunday, the victim had just turned from Skyland Boulevard onto the access road in front of Sam's when the driver of a red Toyota Camry swerved around a line of waiting cars and crashed into his car. Investigators provided pictures taken from security camera footage that shows a man (with a beard and wearing a hat) who reportedly exited the Camry and spoke briefly to the victim. TPD says the department was never contacted and the suspect, along with a passenger, left the scene of the incident on foot. The victim's vehicle sustained damage to the driver's side fender and front bumper, along with scratches and dents. TPD says a traffic investigator was able to collect surveillance video from the Days Inn, where the driver and his passenger walked after the crash. Neither men have been identified at this time. The Camry was towed and investigators haven't been able to make contact with the registered owner.
