We are in search of a full-time warehouse shipping and receiving /delivery driver for our Edison office who is friendly, professional, and a motivated team player. This job will be initially a 40 hour (M-F) a week position, hours will be Monday - Friday 7 am – 3:30 pm. Overtime with longer hours and/or earlier start times may be required on an as needed basis and may include weekend work on occasion. Training will be provided in all aspects of the position while working with our skilled tile and stone professionals. We utilize various app-based software such as Sortly, Easy Clocking, ESUB, Email, and Google Maps. Position requires a valid clean driver record and must provide copy of drivers abstract in order to be considered for this position. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Able to receive and understand directions both verbally and through electronics via email and or text message. A company email will be provided • Receiving daily deliveries, sign delivery tickets/packing list after comparing them to the corresponding purchase order (PO)to confirm the items were receive in good condition. All items received will be label with the corresponding PO/Job number. • Maintain the company stock/tool room through organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basis using hand held tablet and/or mobile phone. • Place materials in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary and using a pallet jack and/or forklift for larger items • Assist in keeping warehouse/stone fabrication area clean, and orderly including daily removal of trash to the appropriate dumpster located in the stone yard and/or parking lot • Management of inventory through cataloging items on a regular basis using hand held tablet and/or mobile phone. • Restock and label materials that comeback from jobsite with the appropriate job number and place materials in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary and using a pallet jack and/or forklift for larger items • Able to lift heavy objects • Must be able to ascend down stairs and/or a ladder and/or out of vehicles safely while carrying materials • Must be able to spend majority of the day standing lifting and walking • Assist other warehouse/stone fabrication shop staff • Maintain a professional appearance • Must be an organized person and able to work independently • Operate company-owned vehicle to deliver and pick up rented and/or purchased equipment and supplies. • Load and unload equipment and supplies in designated areas • Answer basic questions about serviced and direct clients to the appropriate contact for more involved questions • Maintain accurate records and documents pertaining to the delivery and pick up of equipment and supplies • Assist supervisor in planning daily routes and schedules • Perform basic safety inspections on vehicle to ensure it is clean and in good-working condition • Maintain a clean working environment both in the warehouse and company vehicles • Perform all reasonably assigned tasks within the warehouse during slower periods REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS •At least 18 years old • Speak and write in English • Eligible to work in the USA • Valid state Driver’s License • Clean Driving record • Ability to lift 40+lbs PREFERRED SKILLS • Knowledge of local area/roads including but not limited Central/ Northern New Jersey, New York City and the surrounding areas including Long Island • Ability to drive a forklift • Bilingual is (English/Spanish) encourage to apply • Enthusiasm to learn about environmental technology and applications Position Type: Full-time / Non-Exempt Reports To: Managing Partner & Field Operations Manager Travel Required: None This position is part of our flexible work team.
