The 22-year-old female victim told officers that she and Toney had been involved in a physical fight in Northport earlier in the day, with the argument continuing when Toney and another woman went to the victim's location at Forest Lake Apartments Thursday night. Witnesses then told investigators that Toney pulled a knife and charged at a third woman who was in the parking lot of the apartment complex. TPD says the victim who had been fighting with Toney that day yelled at him to stop before he began to charge toward her with the knife. The woman used pepper spray to stop him, in addition to using it on the woman who had accompanied him to the complex. TPD said the woman and the victim then began to fight and as they were fighting, Toney stabbed the victim multiple times in the back before leaving the scene. Officers with the Northport Police Department eventually took him into custody at his home in Northport soon after the incident. The victim was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center and treated for injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. Toney was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail Friday morning and his bond was set at $30,000. Follow Patch here for updates or on Facebook and Twitter.
