Penn is a tad shy but melts when you wrap him in your arms. Our volunteers have spent a lot of extra time with him & it really shows. He trusts his favorite volunteer, Linda, completely and has learned to trust others with a little bit of caution. This little guy has been threw a lot but we know there's a family waiting for him. An adoption counselor will be in contact with you following the submission of your application. If approved, they will arrange a meet and greet at one of our monthly trips to Chesapeake or at our shelter. Visits to the shelter are by appointment only, as we are a volunteer-run rescue organization. All PAWS cats are spayed/neutered and current on the vaccinations appropriate for their age. Those who are confirmed over 4 months old or older will have their rabies vaccinations. All cats and kittens are tested for FIV/FELV. All are treated with flea/tick prevention and given internal parasite preventative on a regular basis. All are microchipped (for their safety and the adopter's peace of mind) as part of the adoption fee.
