Description

A different type of fermentation... brought to the Waterfront all the way from our home in the Columbia Valley! Join us for a special brunch-y presentation of wine and grain on Sunday, February 20th from 11am to 2pm at our tasting room at the Vancouver Waterfront! We're joining forces with Ethos Bakery; our favorite hometown bakery, who is traveling over to the Waterfront in order to share some of their grains and knowledge. You'll get to taste, learn and pair each grain with wine. Participants will use their five senses to differentiate between different grains, learn what to make with them, and really develop an understanding for what unadulterated grain is like. Tickets are $40 per person and include a lecture from the Ethos experts, crackers, bread and cookies made from several different grains, and of course, wine to pair with each grain! The folks at Ethos are also offering an add-on BRUNCH for an additional $15 that will surely delight anyone who partakes. And, we could be convinced to have the BG mimosa on the menu (our Gorge with a float of Orange Muscat, because who needs JUICE when you have WINE?!) - what a treat! Seating is very limited; we hope to see you on the 20th! (Wine club members can email [email protected] should they want to sign up directly through the winery and avoid fees) Barnard Griffin began in 1983 with borrowed grapes and a rented cellar. It has since become one of Washington’s most enduring and award-winning wineries. At the helm then and now is one of the most experienced winemakers in Washington State, Rob Griffin. In addition to the winery production facility, the Richland campus is home to a tasting room, full service restaurant and fused glass art studio.
