Kat McArthur, CYT/LMT/Reiki/Energy Work Facilitator [email protected] Kat’s Massage and Wellness Bob Fahrenholtz, RYT/ Yoga Nidra Facilitator [email protected] More information: Yoga Nidra The practice of Yoga Nidra, also known as Yogic Sleep, allows one to to achieve a state of complete relaxation while remaining awake and fully aware of your surroundings. By peeling back the physical, energetic, mental, emotional, and spiritual layers within us, the body, mind, and spirit are all given the opportunity to find inner peace and a greater connection with one’s self. Simply by listening. Reiki and other energy work: Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation. It is non-invasive light or energetic touch. Reiki reawakens and elevates the energy of life that is flowing in us and promotes the overall healing response of the body. It treats the whole person – body, mind, emotions, spirit. The word Reiki is made of 2 Japanese words: Rei- means god’s power or the higher power and Ki - which is life force energy. So Reiki is defined as spiritually guided life force energy. During the session, Kat may use reiki as a pathway for healing energy to come into the collective space. Yoga Nidra and Reiki The calming openness of Yoga Nidra acts as a conduit for the healing energy offered through Reiki. Together these ancient practices offer balance and harmony to the mind, body and spirit of each participant. Thus bringing to them that which they need without plan or forethought.
