Join us for a family-friendly hike for "castle" ruins and beautiful 360-degree views of the Front Range. This is a favorite local hike for families, even those with little ones. It’s a wide and sunny trail with sweeping views of the Continental Divide, Denver, and a prized historic “castle”. We will meet at the trailhead (adjacent to the restrooms) at 1 pm. We will officially start hiking at 1:15 pm. Meet-up Time: 1 pm Distance: 3 – 3.5 miles ; Elevation Gain: 400 ft. Detailed Trail Information via All Trails: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/colorado/walkers-dream-via-castle-trail. Directions: Take US-285 South toward Fairplay. Continue to Parmalee Gulch Rd. and turn Right. Follow signs to Mt. Falcon West Parking Lot. Parking: Park in the Mt Falcon West Parking Lot (NOT the Morrison/West Lot). Parking is Free. Essentials for this event: warm layers, backpack, med kit, plenty of water, sun protection, a snack, proper foot attire (hiking boots), jogging stroller/carrier (if bringing little kiddos).
