TRUSSVILLE, AL — Forfeit wins by Pinson Valley and Clay-Chalkville Friday allowed both teams to move up in the latest Alabama Sports Writers Association poll, while Hewitt-Trussville, despite a loss Friday, remained in the no. 4 spot. Clay-Chalkville won by forfeit last week against Jackson-Olin, while Pinson Valley had a scheduled game against Mortimer Jordan cancelled. Both teams moved up a spot in the latest poll after a loss by then-no. 2 Saraland. The Cougars face Mortimer Jordan Thursday, and the Indians have a scheduled bye.
