My wonderful 7 year old boerboel Jolene was rescued from Tulsa animal welfare 2 years ago when she was next to be put down. She’s a very large dog and that can put some people off because they can be expensive to feed but Joey has got a lot to offer the right family. The reason I can no longer keep my angel is because she’s starting to become aggressive towards our 2 year old female dog. Joey always battled with food aggression (with other animals) but now her eyesight isn’t what it used to be and when she is surprised by our other dog she starts to fight with her and because I have small children and Jolene is nearly 130 pounds I cannot feel safe having these near misses in the house anymore. Joey will need to be an only dog. She is wonderful with children but because she’s so large we can’t let her go into a home with children younger than 10 She is currently living with 2 other dogs, a cat, and small children and we want her to retire in a home where she can be focused on as the only pet. She is completely potty and crate trained. She is an indoor dog only. She is a big dog but that’s not an excuse to leave her outside for long periods of time. I will be very picky so please do not message me if you don’t plan on going through a real interview process before receiving custody of her. She is up to date on shots, flea and tick, heart worm prevention, and she’s spayed. She listens. She loves car rides and she loves attentions. Joey is happy to be a dog you take on walks or be a home body that will always keep you company. She’s large but you don’t have to worry about high energy. Joey is very relaxed. She’s a sweetheart but trust me an intruder will think twice before coming close once they see or hear her bark. Please message me if you’re interested and want more information.
