This Basic Concealed Carry class meets the requirements for you to apply for your Virginia Concealed Carry Permit. This NRA approved class covers what firearm is best for you, safe handling of firearms, pistol parts and operation, shooting fundamentals, ammunition, the laws surrounding concealed carry, where you can and can’t carry your firearm in the Commonwealth of Virginia, as well as the Virginia laws on self-defense and the use of deadly force, and continued opportunities for skill development.. The course is a mix of lecture, visual presentations, group discussion, personal anecdotes, testimonials, and question/answer sessions. Knowing your legal responsibilities is important for you to become a responsible concealed pistol carrier. Remember you represent all handgun owners. This class does not include range time, we have split classroom and range so that those of you that are already comfortable with their firearms can get their concealed carry permit without the extra cost of the range. Those of you that would like to feel more comfortable handling and operating your firearm need both this class and the Basic Shooting class. Successful completion of the course earns you the certificate necessary to apply for a Concealed Carry Permit. Cost $65
