TRUSSVILLE, AL — Clay-Chalkville, Pinson Valley and Hewitt-Trussville kept their top 5 rankings in the latest Alabama Sports Writers Association poll, which sets up an epic battle Friday night when the Cougars host the Indians.
Clay-Chalkville remained ranked no. 3 in Class 6A, as the undefeated Cougars look to break a six-game losing streak against their cross-town rivals. The game will also determine the Region 6 championship.
The ASWA Class 6A rankings this week:

Hewitt-Trussville stayed at no. 4 in Class 7A, with the Huskies' only losses coming to two teams ranked ahead of them oin the poll in Thompson and Hoover.
Hewitt-Trussville takes on Gadsden City Friday night.
