The Position: Working with the Southeast Sales Department, the Seasonal Delivery Driver Assistant primary responsibility is to ensure timely, accurate and efficient delivery of product. General tasks and responsibilities include: • Deliver beer (cases and kegs) to on-premise and off premise establishments. • Consistent delivery time to fulfill the needs of our customers. • Properly deliver merchandise and rotate product. • Fills all out of stocks, price marking product when required, pickup all empties and damaged products. • Tap cleaning in on-premise draft accounts. • Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned. • Assist with other brewery delivery/pickup needs such as recycling, store transfers, moving needs, or other deliveries, as directed. • Assist with other brewery warehouse needs, janitorial, outdoor maintenance and other duties, as directed. • Any other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements of this position include: • Ability to maneuver pallets of beer weighing 2,600 lbs using a pallet jack or forklift. • Ability to stack 40 lb cases and lift kegs weighing up to 170 lbs. • Ability to repetitively lift heavy objects. • Ability to drive a forklift and handle heavy objects safely in a team environment. • Ability to work in cold, wet conditions. Reporting to the SE Sales Supervisor, this person works as part of a retail team, directly with customers, to ensure that each one is treated with an authentically Alaskan quality of service. Skills and knowledge needed to be successful in this position include: • High School Diploma or GED & one year of related experience and/or training. • Excellent driving skills. • Ability to set priorities and manage competing demands. • Computer skills using word processing, spreadsheet and database software. • This position requires operation of the company delivery truck. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a current medical card permitting the operation of the company delivery vehicle. Ability to perform time-sensitive, fast- paced, physically demanding activity Please note that this is a seasonal position that starts in mid May and ends on or about Labor Day 2022.
