Outdoor Night is a family-friendly Sportsmen’s Event and Wild Game Dinner at Gospel Light Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 16 at 6:00pm. At Outdoor Night you'll have the opportunity to win door prizes, eat a delicious meal, learn pro-hunting and fishing tips, and have a chance to win our grand prize. We are excited to have Chad & Marsha Schearer speaking at Outdoor Night. Chad is a World Champion Elk Caller and 2-time Eastern US Elk Calling Champion. Chad is also a Licensed Montana Professional Outfitter and Guide. Chad, along with his family, hosts Shoot Straight TV. Besides his passion for hunting, he is a freelance writer, his articles and photographs have been featured in several magazines including Outdoor Life, American Hunter, American Rifleman, Field and Stream, and more. Sponsored by many of the hunting industry's leading manufacturers Chad has conducted over 1000 hunting and fishing seminars across the United States and has hunted and fished extensively around the world. Most importantly he is the husband to Marsha and dad to Walker & Wyatt. Marsha Schearer grew up in Tennessee. She jokes she was hunting for a husband now she hunts with her husband. Marsha is known for her ability as a camp cook and in the kitchen hosting Shoot Straight’s Recipes From The Field. But don’t let that fool you as she has been a licensed Montana Guide for over 19 years and has spent over 500 nights in a tent. Marsha was the first lady to be put on the CVA pro staff and has hunted and fished around the world. Let's just say there isn’t enough time to say what Marsha really does for Chad and Shoot Straight TV. Gospel Light Baptist Church is located at 305 2nd Ave. Marion, IA (near Thomas Park and the Marion Football Field). We host several free community events throughout the year like our Trunk-or-Treat, Christmas Musical, Easter Egg Hunt, and many more.
