A space for women of all ages, colors & walks of life to gather and discuss books authored by women of all ages, colors & walks of life. The Book Club CLT is gearing up for our February meeting! We are excited to share our love of all things books, food, and maybe a little whine with you. What we are reading: In Every Mirror She's Black by Lolá Ákínmádé Åkerström, a novel written in the perspective of three different women about their interactions with an influential white man in Stockholm. This novel touches on important social issues of racism, classism, fetishization, and tokenism, and what it means to be a Black woman navigating a white-dominated society. What you can expect: Discussion about this months book, a few (or a lot) laughs, and new friends! Cost: this is a free event, but we would love to provide snacks for anyone interested.
