The best way to combat the long, cold Minnesota winter is to get outside and embrace it! Twin Cities PBS is partnering with Melanin in Motion and the Loppet Foundation to offer a Winter Warm Up — A day of free outdoor fun at the beautiful Trailhead at Theodore Wirth Park.
Winter outdoor sports can be gear intensive and seem intimidating. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., outdoor enthusiast Anthony Taylor and friends will provide light instruction and much encouragement while supplying equipment for you and your family to experience:
TubingSnowboardingCross Country SkiingSnow ShoeingThis event is designed for those who are new to winter outdoor sports and are looking for an introduction on how to make winter more fun! Children under 14 should be accompanied by an adult.
Need a Ride?Go here for Parking & Transportation or simply take the #7 bus and get dropped off at the Trailhead.
