The 2022 Walk-Bike New York Symposium Creating walkable and bikeable environments requires an active collaboration of people with interests in safety, land use, economic development, transportation, education, law enforcement, and health promotion. This one and a half day biennial symposium is open to all and attracts 150 participants, providing education, information and the tools to work together to create walkable and bikeable communities. An exciting agenda is planned and includes sessions on Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety Education, Initiatives and Project Highlights in New York State. AICP CEUs will be available upon approval. Main day of events is 5/3, half day on 5/4Monday 5/24pm-7pm Registration opens Tuesday 5/3 7am-9am Registration open9am-4pm Conference Sessions5pm-6pm Welcome Reception Wednesday 5/4 7am-9am Registration open 7:30am-12 Conference SessionsRegistration$75 for any or all of the symposium includes Tuesday breakfast, lunch and evening reception and Wednesday breakfast. Registration deadline is 4/18/22.Lodging Make reservations at the host hotel here: Hyatt Regency Rochester. Reserve single/double room nights on 5/2 and 5/3 at the government rate of $114 per night. Conference rate is available 3 days pre and post, based on availability. Lodging cut-off date is 4/2/22. If the group rate is no longer available, prevailing rates may be offered for some or all of your dates.Parking The Hyatt is connected to the South Ave Parking Garage. Discounted $6 overnight parking with unlimited in and out privileges for the duration of your stay. Health and SafetyThe symposium will adhere to Covid safety protocols as established by the Hyatt Regency Rochester, following municipal, county, and state guidelines.
