Vintage Postcard - A Modern, Pop-Centric Jazz Band ! 7:00 PM: Doors 8:00 PM: SHOW Vintage Postcard is a modern, pop-centric jazz band performing covers with a nostalgic twist. The group formed in 2017 under the leadership of Lead Vocalist, Amelia Jane, and piano player extraordinaire, Jeff Otto. The 7 piece band is rounded out by Sax Player - Brian Moore, Trumpet Player - Chuck Osceara, Ken Shields/Mike McCalment on drums, Bob Teske on Bass and Nathan O’Brien on guitar. In 2015, Amy O’Brien was scrolling the Ol’ Facebook as one does, when she stumbled upon this epic remake of the song All About That Bass. She immediately shared the video with several friends she knew would enjoy the vintage-y remake and one chimed back, “That’s Postmodern Jukebox! Love Them.” This sent Amy down the rabbit hole listening for hours on YouTube of these epically cool remakes of popular songs. In 2016, she saw them live for the first time, and was absolutely hooked. Amy had always been attracted to the vintage life and added vintage flair to her outfits as often as possible. In 2016, Amy met Jeff Otto, and she knew the two of them just HAD to collaborate on a PMJ inspired band. In 2017, Vintage Postcard was born in a bar in downtown Chesterton, IN. Vintage Postcard is part PMJ coverband, part jazz standards cover band, and part “we do the remakes ourselves.” As time has gone on the group has amassed a local following demanding more and more epic remakes, and we plan to keep on keepin on.
