Learn the basics of beekeeping, hands on! We will cover the equipment needed, the basic setup, cost, first year expectations, weekly - monthly and seasonal monitoring and maintenance, etc! You will be provided a basic veil to wear but we suggest that you dress to cover your skin and bring some gloves. Anyone with bee sting allergies should bring an epipen or medications in case of a sting. For those interested you will be able to get up close and personal with the bees and see them in action! And for those ready to take the plunge, we will be selling nuc colonies this season and can provide you with your initial stock to get you started! *In case of weather issues we may need to reschedule the date or refund.
