Canning 101 w/ Pat Johnson Anybody wanna Learn to “Can” food? Pat Johnson will teach a class on Pressure & Water-bath Canning at 1:00pm on Saturday April 2nd. The class will take place in the Educational Building at Everman’s downtown Garden Street Grocery location. Canned foods are a convenient and practical way to add more nutrient-dense foods to your diet. The availability of safe, quality foods is lacking in many parts of the world, and canning helps ensure people have access to a wide variety of foods throughout the year. We will do a demonstration of pressure canning and water bath canning and we will actually can meat and tomatoes in the class.
