CENTER POINT, AL — The mayoral election for Center Point takes place August 25, and at least two candidates have declared they will be on the ballot. The Trussville Tribune reported Thursday that incumbent Tom Henderson will seek re-election, and will be challenged by at least two other candidates in Birmingham police officer Frederick A. Burkes and city councilor Bobby Scott. Candidates have until July 7 to register to be on the ballot for Center Point's municipal elections.
