PINSON, AL — A former United States Marine has thrown his hat into the ring in the Pinson City Council elections. A report by the Trussville Tribune said Brad Walker formally announced his candidacy for Pinson City Council, which holds its election August 25.
Walker, an engineer with Spire Energy and a U.S. Marine veteran, has lived in Pinson for the last 20 years.

Thus far, Pinson's mayoral race has two candidates, incumbent Hoyt Sanders and former City Council member Joe Cochran.
