TRUSSVILLE, AL — Polls closed at 7 p.m. for municipal elections throughout the Birmingham area, including Trussville. Only one incumbent running for re-election on the Trussville City Council lost Tuesday, as Lisa Bright was projected as the Place 5 winner over Zack Steele. Jamie Melton Anderson will also be a new addition to the Trussville City Council, unofficially defeating Randy Schlitz for Place 3. Unofficial results for Trussville's municipal seats look like this (projected winners in bold): Place 1 Perry Cook (Incumbent) 61% Wendell Gibson 39% Place 2 Alan Taylor (Incumbent) 68% Beckie Taunton 32% Place 3 Jaime Melton Anderson 56% Randy Schlitz 44% Place 4 Brian Plant (Incumbent) 67% Ben Short 33% Place 5 Zack Steele (Incumbent) 45% Lisa Bright 55%
