Spacious fully equipped Bellingham art studio for rent by the half or full day. Located in the historic Herald Building, the studio features five huge windows providing gorgeous light. It is fully equipped as a working or teaching art studio, with eight individual table paint/ work stations with rolling taborets. The individual tables can be moved or consolidated to create one large work area. There is also a large easel. The lighting is European LED track that was installed specifically for painting. It also has a sink, microwave, mini fridge, toaster oven, artful dishes, glassware and utensils, a small seating area with a love seat, two conversation chairs, a reclining chair and ottoman for breaks, a UE boom wireless speaker to play your favorite tunes, and an art library for inspiration. The building/ studio are accessible 24/7 with a key card to get in after hours. When you rent the studio it is yours exclusively during your scheduled time. When you arrive it will be clean and ready for you to create, and when you leave, you just clean up and leave it as it was when you arrived. If you rent for full consecutive days (7 or more hours per session) you may leave your work out between your rental sessions. Scheduling is first come, first served. If you wish to rent regularly for a set amount of time each month or a certain day each week (28 hours a month minimum) limited storage for your materials and paintings will be provided at no charge. Rates are as follows: 10. per hour / (3 hour minimum session) 50. per day / for 7 hours 75. per day for 12 hours My lease prohibits oil paining due to the fumes, but most other mediums are fine, including encaustic painting. If you are an encaustic painter, I also offer a full equipment / tools rental package so all you’d have to provide is your paint, medium, and brushes.
