JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A homicide investigation is underway in Jefferson County after a man was found dead in his car Friday afternoon in Brighton. Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said the incident occurred around 4 p.m. Friday on Short 5th Avenue. Money said deputies found a car riddled with bullet holes in the middle of the street, and a man dead inside of the vehicle. No arrests have been made.
