HOPKINTON, MA — Police are looking to identify a driver who struck a Burlington victim in January. Police said the 31-year-old Burlington person was walking along an East Main Street sidewalk around 3 a.m. on Jan. 22 east of the downtown area near Ray Street. The person was hit by a driver in a sedan shortly after. Police do not have video of the collision. Moments later, he was hit by a driver in a sedan — however, police have been unable to find video footage of the collision. "We are hoping members of the public can assist our investigation by providing footage from home surveillance systems that could potentially provide evidence," Chief Joseph Bennett said in a news release. "We are committed to finding justice and some measure of closure for the victim in this incident, and we ask community members to assist us if they can." The victim was taken to UMass Memorial in Worcester for treatment after the incident. State police are helping Hopkinton police investigate the incident. If you can help track down the driver or contribute video, contact Hopkinton Det. Benjamin Stickney at either [email protected] or (508) 497-3401 ext.1273.
