BRAINTREE, MA — Braintree's coronavirus cases continued their steep decline, though numbers are still much higher than the state average, according to the latest municipal-level data released by the Department of Public Health Thursday.
The positive test rate in Braintree decreased from 17.32 to 10.65 percent. As of Thursday, the state positive test rate was 5.89 percent.
The town had 437 cases in the last two weeks, or 78.7 daily cases per 100,000 residents.
Both the positive rate and the case total decreased from last week's report.
The state also reported that Braintree has 78 percent of its residents fully vaccinated, up slightly from the previous week. About 43 percent of Braintree residents have gotten the booster.
