LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A man from Sterling was arrested on Friday in connection with the robbery of a Sterling 7-Eleven, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. The man, Michael Hollatz, was taken into custody at his home.
The suspect walked into the 7-Eleven in the 46600 block of Algonkian Parkway around 2:40 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 3, police claimed. He then demanded money from the register, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said in their report.
During the robbery, the man implied that he had a gun, and the cashier complied, police said. The robber left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene in a newer model white Toyota pickup truck, possibly a Tundra or Tacoma.
The sheriff's office identified the suspect as Hollatz. After he was arrested on Friday morning, he was charged with one count of robbery. He is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
