Here are the top stories today in Denver: Denver Sheriff's deputy fired for refusing COVID-19 vaccine. A Denver Sheriff's deputy that had been granted a vaccine exemption has been released from duty after ignoring the city's requirements to maintain the exemption. The deputy missed 14 testing dates, didn't show up for his disciplinary hearing and refused to sign a termination letter. (FOX31) Independent Monitor finalists announced. The Independent Monitor is charged with overseeing the Denver Police and Sheriff Departments, and the community will get the opportunity to meet the candidates at two upcoming virtual sessions. (Patch) Mayor Hancock say he has a plan that aims to get 400 people off the streets. The mayor's plan establishes another 100-day push to house people experiencing homelessness in the city. (Patch) Did you shovel your sidewalk? Thousands of complaints about unshoveled sidewalks have been lodged this winter. According to the City of Denver's tally, many of the complaints have come from northwest Denver. (Denverite) The "Denver Cyclone" causes more snow to fall in one place than another.
