JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A 41-year-old Birmingham man was killed in a crash Saturday on Parkway East. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office said Fred Shaloam Bell died at St. Vincent's East just before 7 p.m. The wreck occurred just before 6:30 p.m. at 8909 Parkway East, according to law enforcement. Bell was traveling east when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a curb, causing the vehicle to roll multiple times. Authorities said Bell was the only person in the car.
