Mile High Flea Market, Denver’s oldest and favorite flea market for over 40 years, is seeking a Full-Time Painter Assistant to join our team. Duties this position is responsible for include, but are not limited to the following: • Maintains all marketplace buildings, food service stands, seller buildings, office buildings, warehouse locations, mobile carts, wagons, carts, rides, and fencing. • Removes old paint from surfaces to prepare for new paint. • Will sand and smooth surfaces prior to painting a new coat. • Fills nail holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other filler. • Removes fixtures such as pictures and electrical switch covers from walls prior to painting • Spreads drop cloths over floors and room furnishings prior to painting. • Covers baseboards, door frames, and windows with masking tape to protect surfaces when painting. • Selects premixed paint, or mix required portions of pigment, oil, thinning, and drying substances to prepare paint to match specific colors. • Sets up ladders or scaffolding to perform tasks above ground level.• Paints surfaces with brushes, spray guns, or paint rollers. • Applies paint with cloths, brushes, sponges, or fingers to create special effects.• Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments • Performs other duties as assigned. ***No Experience Necessary- We Will Train*** What we offer: Competitive and rewarding salary, Paid vacation, Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, 401K with company match, Profit Sharing Schedule: Monday through Friday - 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Requirements: Must abide by all company department policies and procedures Must have 1 year of work experience Know how to use the correct tools and test equipment as needed.
