CHATHAM, NJ — All Chatham schools will be dismissed early on Friday due to the forecast for icy conditions. Lunch will not be served at school. The dismissal times are as follows: Chatham High School: 12 p.m. Chatham Middle School: 12 p.m. Lafayette Avenue School: 12:45 p.m.SBS, WAS, and MAS: 12:35 p.m.AM Kindergarten: 8:35 a.m. – 10:35 a.m.PM Kindergarten: 10:35 a.m. – 12:35 p.m.AM Pre-School: 8:40 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. PM Pre-School: 10:40 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.Full-Day Pre-School: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.COVID testing scheduled for this afternoon at CMS from 3 to 4 p.m. is canceled. A winter weather advisory has been issued for Morris County from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday. Freezing rain is expected with total ice accumulations of a light glaze, according to the National Weather Forecast. This will create very slippery sidewalks, roads, and especially bridges and overpasses are possible.
