2 La Grange Residents Accused Of Domestic Battery

LA GRANGE, IL — In the last week, La Grange police arrested two La Grange residents on charges of domestic battery, according to reports. One of them was also accused of battery against a police officer. In the first instance, Devoe Harris, 56, was charged after being involved in a fight with another person, who suffered an injury, according to a police report. It happened about 5 p.m. Jan. 26 in the 100 block of Hayes Avenue. As officers tried to arrest Harris, he battered one of them and resisted, police said. That drew him charges of aggravated battery of a police officer, simple assault and resisting officers, the report said. In the other incident, Connie Kendall, 48, of La Grange, was arrested about 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the 800 block of South Catherine Avenue on a charge of domestic battery, police said.
