Drive Thru Coronavirus Testing Coronavirus has become a global pandemic causing millions of people to stay home and keep their distance from friends, family, coworkers and neighbors often called "social distancing". At some point, we must ask ourselves – do we have the Coronavirus? Some people may have Coronavirus and not even know it. Others may experience mild to severe symptoms including some that should not be ignored. Seek medical attention immediately if you or someone you love has emergency warning signs, including: Trouble breathing Persistent pain or pressure in the chest New confusion or not able to be woken Bluish lips or face This list is not all inclusive. Please consult your medical provider for any other symptoms that are severe or concerning. Other more mild symptoms may include: Fever Tiredness Dry Cough Shortness of Breadth Some People may also experience: Aches and pains Nasal congestion Runny nose Sore throat Nausea Diarrhea If you feel that you really want to know whether you have Covd-19 or not, you may wish to get a test. Drive-thru testing facilities may be the best choice if you want to avoid other people who may be infected and/or if you prefer to stay in your car to limit your expose to other people. LifeHope Labs is a CAP accredited lab in Sandy Springs, GA working with Christian Churches and medical doctors who have set up drive-thru testing facilities in the church parking lots. Three Locations are currently available: North Point Church – Alpharetta, GA Sugar Hill Church – Sugar Hill, GA Passion City Church – Atlanta, GA The drive-thru testing facilities are staffed with trained medical clinicians who can properly take a nasal swab test and then submit the sample to LifeHope Labs for testing. You must confirm your symptoms and book an appointment on-line before you come to the drive-thru testing center. You can do this by calling 1-877-262-1003 or by visiting www.lifehope.com LifeHope Practice Management has engaged Dr. Alan Einstein to review all tests and to interact with patients seeking testing and results. Most patients can get results within 72 hours or less. The Lifehope Labs method for testing uses the latest molecular technology How is the molecular test administered? Molecular tests typically involve inserting a 6-inch long swab into the back of the nasal passage through one nostril and rotating the swab several times for 15 seconds. This process is then repeated through the other nostril. The swab is then inserted into a container and sent to a lab for testing. With the introduction of portable/point-of-care testing, these tests can even be done entirely in the provider offices or even the parking lot of a drive-thru testing site. What's the science behind it? In a patient with a COVID-19 infection, genetic material from SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, is generally detectable in upper and lower respiratory specimens. In acute respiratory infections, molecular tests are routinely used to detect the presence of viral genetic material in a sample. The specific technique that's used is called reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction, or RT-PCR, where genetic material from a sample is copied and then compared to the genetic sequence of the virus you're trying to detect. LifeHope Labs will look for and detect the genetic sequence of Covid-19 within swab sample. Dr. Alan Einstein will notify you of your results and provide additional information on what steps you can take next to help reduce the spread and mitigate symptoms. $25 is the cost to pay for the drive-thru testing facility $35 is the cost for Dr. Alan Einstein to review test results and consult with patients when necessary $125 is the cost to perform your bio-genetic test by LifeHope Labs --------$185 is the total cost for the test Most insurance providers will reimburse patients for the cost of taking the test. Please check with your insurance carrier before scheduling or booking an appointment to go through our drive-thru testing facilities. The reimbursement amount may vary by carrier. Since we are providing this service at cost – all appointments must be prepay by debit or credit card on-line at www.lifehope.com You can confirm your symptoms and book an appointment on-line. Then bring your receipt which will be sent to you by email along with a valid drivers license to the drive-thru tent location you selected.
