I have a 18yr old mini macaw I may be looking to rehome to the right person…. I rescued her thinking I would be a good fit for her but the rescue didn’t know much about her and turns out I think she would do better somewhere else. So far what I know is she loves women but will go to men if she likes them or if they give her the time. She is VERY VERY LOUD! She is very needy wants to be on you a lot and very friendly! If you leave room she will scream for awhile. Definitely not a apartment bird!! She can say several words as well! She needs to go to someone with experience with large birds and that will have time for he at least 4hrs a day. If you don’t have that kind of time this is not the bird for you. If you have a bird of similar size or species she may do well as I believe she is very lonely. She has been to a avian vet as I took her after I rescued her. She is in great health but does pluck a little. I leave her cage open all day and she can come and go but she does like to stay in cage unless you are near her. Not 100% sure on sex but supposedly a female. Please only message me with questions I didn’t answer. Thank you!
