Approximately two million more passengers passed through ANC, which is a 93% increase from 2020. The airport reported handling approximately 3.6 million metric tons of air cargo in 2021, breaking its record for cargo volume by 14%, or just over 400,000 metric tons.(kinyradio.com) On Feb. 3, 2022, at 10:04 p.m., both the Anchorage Police Department and the Anchorage Fire Department responded to the 3400-block of E Tudor Road reference an injured adult male. Upon arrival, officers located the victim lying outside on the sidewalk who was then transported to the hospital by medics with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries.
