Seeking People in the Deaf Community

I am an older woman who has recently lost her hearing; I literally woke up one day and my hearing was gone you can't believe how horrible this is and I am without friends or family. This post is a desperate attempt to connect with at least one person who is willing to give me some kind of encouragement. Now that I am deaf people won't listen to me or try to assist me when I do manage to leave my house even just buying groceries is hard; I cry everywhere I go. I am so alone and frightened. There doesn't seem to be any kind of charity or services to help me. I have a constant ringing in my head, but I can't understand people's voices. I hate tv and the internet, but since losing my hearing I just sit all day alone crying while watching CC videos. Please whoever reads this don't make my pain any worse by offering me money, sex or drugs or telling me that this is "god's plan" or I need a psychiatrist. I NEED HUMAN KINDNESS AND CONTACT. If anyone can help me to find someone to talk to or just a place to go to be around other people who are deaf or hearing impaired can understand or show some compassion or can help me learn to live as a deaf person, I would really appreciate it.
