Job Summary ● To be a professional junk hauler that helps people by providing hands-on labor and junk removal service. We serve residential and commercial businesses/services ● Look, act, and become a friendly & professional Scrap-it Hauler, shirt tucked in, hat straight, pants at the waist, and continuing with your attitude (smile and eye contact) ● SAFELY operate at all times ● Make sure all daily truck inspections are performed ● Make sure the truck has enough receipts, safety equipment, and marketing material ● Be able to make logistical decisions. When to dispose of, what to donate or recycle, how to best complete a job, how to package items and load a truck, how to market during downtime ● Prevent careless and costly mistakes, including damage, injury, unhappy clients, lost equipment, etc. ● Check-in regularly throughout the day with direct supervisor for additional assignments and troubleshooting guidance Responsibilities ● Customer Service: Greeting every customer with a friendly, positive attitude and exceptional service ● Truck Operations: Safe driving and loading of Scrap-It! trucks with a team member (so a valid standard driver’s license is required) ● Junk Removal: Heavy and light lifting required for removal of "junk" from residential and commercial client locations (i.e. couches, chairs, appliances, recyclables, debris, yard, and garage junk) ● Marketing: Enthusiastically advocate for our brand to all you meet and encounter ● Safety: Commitment to the safe and professional navigation and driving of trucks and intelligent and efficient loading & unloading of customers’ belongings ● Professional & Uniformed: We always wear uniforms and provide you with what you need (shirts, sweaters, coats, hats, gloves) to represent Scrap-It! and make a great impression Qualifications & Requirements ● Great attitude ● Reliable, hardworking ● Valid standard driver’s license ● 21+ years of age (required for insurance purposes) ● Reliable transportation to and from work ● Eligible to work in the United States ● Drug and alcohol-free ● Have the physical stamina to lift/carry 50 pounds repeatedly
