The team at Patriot Tree Company is seeking applicants for ground workers to join our growing company. The Company: Patriot Tree Company is a locally owned and operated small business specializing in tree care services such as tree removal, pruning, stump grinding, and Plant Health care. We are led by an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist and 4 ISA Certified Arborists whose goal is to provide the highest level of professional tree care and customer service. All of our tree work is done according to ANSI A300 standards. At Patriot Tree Company, safety is our number one priority, and all employees are expected to perform work according to ANSI Z133 and OSHA standards. Job Description: Ground workers perform all ground operations while climbers and bucket operators are aloft. Duties include dragging brush to and operating a wood chipper, maintaining a clean and organized job site, operating chainsaws and mini skids, running ropes during rigging operations, basic maintenance of equipment, and driving trucks and equipment to and from job sites. Pay and Benefits: Pay is competitive with other licensed and insured tree companies in the area and would depend on the experience of the applicant. Benefits such as profit sharing, health insurance, and paid vacation will be available after a 3 month probationary period. Profit shares are paid out quarterly during profitable quarters. First Aid, CPR, and aerial rescue training are provided by the company. Qualifications that are required include: - Clean driving record and valid driver’s license - Ability to work safely and according to ANSI and OSHA standards - Communicate effectively and be part of a team - Positive attitude and commitment to a high standard of quality work - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds - Desire to work outside and in most weather conditions Qualifications and experience that are preferred include: - CPR/First Aid certification - Degree in urban forestry or related subject - ISA Certified Arborist accreditation or other industry accepted accreditations (i.e. TCIA) - CDL drivers license (Class B with air brakes preferred) - Crew lead and foreman experience If you are interested in applying for this position, please reply with a resume including past work experience, qualifications, and three professional references.
