University of Idaho Manual Snow Removal Technician Location: Moscow Division/College: Facilities Management Employee Category: Temporary Pay Range: $15.00 per hour Full/Part Time: Part Time Position Summary: Working within a team environment and under the direction of the Landscape Manager, the incumbent performs manual snow removal by shoveling and/or operating snow blower; distributing sand/salt to hardscapes which provides a safe environment for Faculty, Staff and Students during the winter months. Minimum Qualifications: - Must be at least 18 years of age. - Must possess a valid motor vehicle operators license and be able to meet policy requirements for driving University vehicles. Preferred Qualifications: - Demonstrate punctuality and perseverance. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: - Must be able to work in inclement weather with an assigned snow team member. - Must be able to scoop, push, lift, throw or otherwise move snow loads weighing up to 25 pounds by shovel and/or operating snow blower for several hours at a time. - Must be able to work in inclement weather with an assigned snow team member.- Must be able to scoop, push, lift, throw or otherwise move snow loads weighing up to 25 pounds by shovel and/or operating snow blower for several hours at a time.
