Facility Maintenance Technician Starting Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 an hour Hours: 5pm to 2am Monday thru Friday The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining overall appearance and operation of the facility, including the repairing, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical systems/equipment/devices to prevent, control, and remediate operational downtime and maintain preventative maintenance. Responsibilities • Work with the maintenance team in keeping the facility in a daily operating condition. • Assist with the performance of preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery. • Assist with and learn to troubleshoot and repair facility machinery. • Electrical Components, Warehouse Control Systems, Troubleshooting and Repair • Maintain all facility lighting systems, including lamp and ballast repairs or replacements. • Respond quickly to emergency situations and summoning additional assistance as needed. Notify management of all impacting events in a timely manner. • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, schematics, specifications, or drawings to determine work needed to repair, replace, or install systems or equipment. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, meters, or other devices to perform work (such as volt/ohm/amperage meters, saws, lathes, etc.). • Utilize forklifts, lifts, hoisting systems, carts, vehicles, or other device to assist with the performance of duties (forklift and/or other certifications are required). • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company directives related to building operations. • Automation Preventative Maintenance Planning • Problem Solving / Detail Oriented • Windows OS, Outlook, Word, Excel • Computer proficiency (send/receive emails, print reports, utilize company software) • MHE / Electrical component removal and modifications for process improvement in production • Learn and assist with PLC's • Understand all written operating procedures associated with site and perform work within those standards. • And other duties assigned Education, Knowledge & Skills • Must have 3 plus years in facility maintenance • Preferred experience with programmable logic controls (PLC) • High school diploma or GED • Field related Certificates • Have a background in basic maintenance, electrical and general building repair. • Able to stand and or walk 8 hours during a shift. • Bend, reach above head and can lift 75 lbs. • Ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers, supervisor, and management. • Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing with a wide range of people.
