MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — A 5K run and 1-mile Fun Run sponsored by the Mountain Brook Fraternal Order of Police is set for February 22. This is first year for this event, which will raise funds for WellHouse, a safe residential environment to women, offering spiritual, mental, emotional and physical support services to those who have been sexually exploited through human trafficking. The 5K will follow the "Knights of Columbus" route, starting at Jackson Blvd. near Crestline Elementary School, then to Fairway Drive, looping back toward Crestline Village on Country Club Boulevard and circling through Vine Street, Dexter Avenue, West Montcrest Drive, Jackson Boulevard and Elm Street. Registration can be completed online through runsignup, and costs $30 per runner for each event.
