Watauga Kayak is a local Whitewater Rafting, Kayaking, and Tubing Outfitter located in Elizabethton, Tennessee. If you are looking for a great summer Job this is it! Work and Have fun while getting paid to play what else could you ask for. It’s hard work but well worth it our guides are like family and they are paid the highest on Watauga River. Our mission is to combine experienced guides, excellent customer service, and exceptional outdoor adventures to create incomparable memories for our valued guests. Our main season goes from May 31, through September. This is a seasonal position. Experience is preferred, but we will train the right candidates. Applicants must be 18 or older. Our daily scheduled hours start around noon and the last trip goes out at 5:30pm. Training for inexperienced guides will be each weekend in April and the first three weekends in May. The Cost is $200, which is refundable at the end of the season if all commitments are met. CPR/First Aid certificate is also obtainable during training for a cost of $25. Which is non-refunded.
