Local Construction Company that supports a Drug-Free workplace is currently seeking applicants for an Experienced Pipelaying Foreman position. This position requires the foreman to be responsible for coordinating labor and equipment resources on a daily basis to meet the construction schedule as provided by the construction superintendent and/or project manager. The successful applicant will monitor work in progress for excavating and laying various types of pipe for stormwater, sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains. The foreman will direct and mentor pipelaying crewmembers on the correct processes, construction methods, and equipment operating procedures. They also need to understand and follow the applicable OSHA safety regulations. The ability to interpret plans and blueprints is a preferred. Minimum requirements include: • High School diploma or equivalent preferred. • Minimum of three years experience operating paving equipment is required. • Install inverts, catch basins and other related structures. • Grade trenches or culverts. • Seal joints to ensure pipes are tightly fitted. • Ensure pipes are fitted and aligned using grade rods or transit levels. • Backfill pipes with dirt or other material. • Tap into pipes for auxiliary lines. • A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record is required.
