Thank you for your interest in our 2022 Summit, we're putting the finishing touches on our agenda and updates will be made accordingly. Once again, the Maine Grocers and Food Producers Association & the Retail Association of Maine have combined forces to bring you, The Summit. This event will bring together Maine’s business community uniting retailers, grocers, food producers and industry partners for an impressive day full of education, inspiration, Maine flavor and, fun! Tuesday, April 26th 5:30 PM Join us for a Welcome Reception hosted by Jordan's Furniture. We'll celebrate our award recipients, enjoy hors' d'oeuvres and cocktails with LIVE musical Entertainment. Take a stroll through the furniture store and take a turn on the ropes course! Wednesday, April 27th: 8:00 – 8:30 a.m.| Registration, Vendor Networking & Scholarship Auction Preview 8:30 – 9:00 a.m.| Breakfast & Welcome Remarks 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. | CEO Kick-off Panel- Featuring; Steve Smith of L.L. Bean, Mike Vail of Hannaford & John Stiker of Stonewall Kitchen. 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.| Breakout Sessions 1 Session 1 | Choice A- Loss Prevention | So much has changed since we last covered this topic. From the methods criminals are using to partnering with local law enforcement. Come learn what YOU need to know about loss prevention. Session 1 | Choice B- Employee Owned (ESOP) | In session you'll hear from company representatives that chose ESOP as their succession plan and from a Lawyer who has helped many companies in Maine through this process. Panelists include; Joe Corey of Day's Jewelers 11:00 – 11:20 a.m.| Break & Relocate, Visit Vendor Main Street , Bid on Scholarship Auction Items 11:25 a.m. – 12:10 p.m.| Lunch Keynote: TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON! 12:10 – 1:15 p.m.| Lunch | Awards | LIVE Auction Bidding 1:15 – 2:15 p.m.| Breakout Sessions 2 Session 2 | Choice A- Economy & Summer Hospitality Outlook | With Inflation at a record high, what does this mean for the summer hospitality season? Panelist include; Maine State Economist Amanda Rector and Tony Cameron, CEO of the Maine Tourism Association. Session 2 | Choice B- HR Issues in the Workplace | In this everchanging pandemic world we now live in, Attorney Ben Ford of Archipelago Law will guide us through the latest in workplace HR updates and issues. 2:15 – 2:20 p.m.| Relocate to Joint Session 2:20 – 3:20 p.m.| Joint Session- Beyond E-commerce 3:20 – 3:45 p.m.| Wrap Up | Final Thoughts | Collect & Pay for Auction Items! The Maine Grocers and Food Producers Association and Retail Association of Maine are partner organizations who work closely together to provide quality events and programming to strengthen both our memberships. After a two year hiatus we are excited to bring industry colleagues back together at our cohosted Annual Meeting event, The Summit.
