Being the soloist with the Duke Ellington Band at Carnegie Hall, playing with his idol Freddie Hubbard, and giving scholarships to students in his hometown of Cleveland Ohio are all trailblazing accomplishments. Mr Pittman has traveled the world as a professional musician. Reggie has recorded extensively under his name and with many others. Reggie has played with Aretha Franklin, Sarah Vaughan, the Temptations, the Allman Brothers, Queen Latifa, Clay Aiken, Babyface, drummer Jaimoe and many others. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Kent State University and his Master’s in Music Technology from New York University. Reggie has taken students as far as China to further their education. The band was founded in Cleveland in 1995 under the name Moment's Notice. The band has performed with Angela Bofill, Roger Smith, Marcus Johnson, Walter & Tramaine Hawkins, Vesta Williams, Gerald Levert and many more. The band has opened for Earth, Wind & Fire, the Yellow Jackets, Wayman Tisdel, Randy Crawford, Marian Meadows, Pieces of a Dream,, Roy Ayers & many more… The founding band members are Robert Hubbard Jr, Rodney Hubbard, Cliff Colson, David Heman, and Eddie Baccus Jr. As the band expanded its audience on tour, they added new members, Robert White, Andrew Braxton, Keith Mckelly, Jermaine Lockhart, Tony Pulizzi and Walter Barnes Jr. The band changed its name to Hubb's Groove in 2006. Robert Hubbard Jr. drummer https://hubbsgroove.com/ Drummer Robert L. Hubbard Jr. is known for his diverse style of music consisting of jazz, gospel, R&B and rock. Often compared to Jeff Tain Watts, Tony Williams and Dennis Chambers. Hubbard is a gifted and respected drummer, producer and instructor. Robert Hubbard, Jr. was born in Cleveland, Ohio. At the age of 5, Robert began to play drums in his father's church. During his junior and senior years he was recognized at the Tri-C Jazz Fest as the top high school jazz drummer in the state. Also in his senior year he was awarded the honor with his trio as one of the top high school jazz trios in the nation by Downbeat magazine. His first major tour began in 1993 with R&B group Men At Large, in which he appeared on the Arsenio Hall television show. Later, he toured with the hit production play, "A Good Man is Hard to Find" and “Will A Real Man Please Stand Up.” His touring and performing career also consisted of him playing for artists such as Changing Faces, Gerald Albright, Sean Jones and many more. Additionally he played for gospel artists, Keith Moncrief and The Gospel Family and Walter and Tramaine Hawkins. ​In 2000, Robert began producing from "Studio 89," a studio birthed from him and his brothers, in which he is the chief engineer. Robert is one of the most sought after drummers in the midwest. His stellar work of the Fatherhood Initiative, Play It Forward, Highway Expansion projects, housing for residents, scholarships for students are a few of his accomplishments! Kevin is also an accomplished musician. Councilman Conwell is an accomplished drummer. He has played with many famous musicians! The councilman will grace the stage and share his musical talent! The Pittman/Daniels Quartet is a NYC/NJ based jazz quartet. The members are Reggie Pittman- trumpet, Loren Daniels- piano, Belden Bullock- bass, and Jonathan Peretz- drums. The quartet performs regularly in NJ. The first cd, Point A to Point A gained international recognition! The second cd, Smilessence, is our latest release. The cd, Smilessence, is getting rave reviews. The band often has guest artists appearing with them.
