The first of many tasting events for both the Scotch curious and the Scotch knowledgeable. This event features 5 samples-one from each of the recognized whisky producing regions of Scotland in a loosely guided tasting. The tasting isn't being guided by one of the foremost authorities on Scotch in Denver. No. It is being guided by someone six years into learning about Scotch-still enthusiastic and not jaded yet. Come compare and contrast these difficult to source drams and discover your favorites. Come drink whisky at Bierstadt. Jackets required-they may be ironic. Attendees will receive 5 -20ml samples, one at a time, to drink, discuss and praise or detest-that depends on personal preference, but make sure to let others know they are wrong. Takes place February 2nd from 7-9:30 at Bierstadt Lagerhaus 2875 Blake Street. Price is $60 and includes tax and tip. Additional Drams for purchase at the event if only 5 whiskies just doesn't seem like enough. We feel you.
