Description

The New Testament uses the word, scripture(s), 52 times, never referring to itself. Yet Paul says they can "make thee wise unto salvation". Jesus and the apostles used and loved the Torah the Prophets and the Writings, and the ancient faith was rooted in these books. We share those same roots, and they are good roots. It is our hope that the branches, both natural and grafted, will take hold on the good roots that have been planted for us. The Restoration Torah Conference is open to all branches of the Restoration thru the prophet, Joseph Smith Jr. Everyone is invited to speak or attend. We want to learn about the Hebrew and Israelite roots of our faith. We claim a lineage and connection with the Israelite Family tree, and want to more fully embrace the ideas and ideals that are germane to our lineage. This Conference is being held annually in connection with the Feast of Weeks (Shavuot). Shavuot is the Appointed Festival Time when Messiah came to visit the branch of scattered Israel in the New World (as recorded in 3rd Nephi). This is also the time when Jehovah made the covenant with his people, Israel, at Mount Sinai. We are beneficiaries of that covenantal arrangement. Let us seek to honor it. This is our third annual event. We plan on continuing this every year in preparation for Shavuot. Last year's conference was a success, and we look forward to an enlightening time this year as well.
