Description

Retreat master Sarah Christmyer brings to life the struggles and hopes of Old Testament women that help us say 'yes!' to God's call. A one-day Lenten retreat for women featuring Sarah Christmyer, Catholic author, Bible teacher, and speaker with a special love for lectio divina and journaling as ways to draw close to Christ in Scripture. This special retreat will explore the lives of women in the Old Testament who found strength and hope in God, along with personal insights from Sarah's own spiritual journey. In a series of talks throughout the day, she will help us explore "Who are the models of faith in your life?" and "Who helps you hear God's call?" There will also be opportunities for prayer, confession and small group discussions. Mass, breakfast and lunch are included in the price of your ticket. All women are welcome to attend this special day-long event in Los Alamos within a holy setting designed to bring participants closer to Christ this Lenten season. Sarah is co-developer and founding editor of The Great Adventure Catholic Bible study program and author or co-author of more than a dozen books and Bible studies. Her latest book is Becoming Women of the Word: How to Answer God's Call with Purpose and Joy (Ave Maria Press). Sarah blogs at ComeIntoTheWord.com.
