The Fleet Technician’s primary purpose will require the individual to perform preventative and corrective maintenance to fleet equipment. Typical technician activities include preventive maintenance, light duty exterior modifications and repairs to vehicles, electrical system diagnosis and repair, brake system diagnosis and repair, hydraulic system diagnosis and repair, tire replacement, occasional in field repairs. Reporting to the Fleet manager on daily task completion, diagnostics, scheduling, training. Working CLEAN. Shop is located in Middleboro, MA, 02346. Schedule is Monday – Friday (Scheduled Saturdays). A typical days tasks might include • Troubleshooting and repairing fleet vehicles and equipment • Minimize breakdowns with preventive maintenance. • Follow up on repairs • Communicate with the fleet manager on all aspects of your day • Filling out and completing equipment repair orders on time • Charging out parts inventory to work order • Maintaining a CLEAN and organized work area • Ensuring safe work practices. • Working with other techs in a professional manner • Record assigned preventative maintenance tasks • Maintain shop housekeeping standards What you need to have: • 2-5 years experience • High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience • Experience in shop and field repairs. • A positive working attitude • On time attendance • Ability to handle physical requirements, including, but not limited to, repeated bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting up to 60 pounds in all work conditions (indoor and outdoor) • A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record • The ability to work independently or with other technicians. • Computer skills to operate fleet management software
